TermGuard ("we", "our", or "us") is a Shopify app developed by KasWebTech Solutions. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you install and use the TermGuard app on your Shopify store.
Information We Collect
When you install TermGuard, we collect and store the following:
- Shop domain — your Shopify store URL (e.g. yourstore.myshopify.com)
- Access token — a Shopify-issued token to authenticate API requests on your behalf
- App settings — your checkbox configuration, design preferences, agreement text, and link URLs
- Analytics events — anonymous checkbox interaction data (checked/unchecked, location, timestamp) with no personally identifiable customer information
- Monthly order count — used only to enforce free plan limits
- Support messages — name, email, and message content when you contact us through the app
How We Use Your Information
- To display and operate the terms & conditions checkbox on your storefront
- To provide analytics on customer acceptance rates
- To enforce plan limits (free vs. Pro)
- To respond to support requests
- To improve the app based on usage patterns
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Customer Data
TermGuard does not collect or store any personally identifiable information (PII) about your store's customers. Analytics events are recorded at the session level without names, emails, or customer IDs.
Data Storage & Security
All data is stored on secure servers managed by KasWebTech Solutions. We use industry-standard practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. Data is retained for as long as the app is installed on your store.
Data Deletion
When you uninstall TermGuard, you may request full deletion of your store's data by contacting us at apps.kaswebtech@gmail.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.Third-Party Services
TermGuard uses the following third-party services:
- Shopify — for store authentication and app embedding
- Shopify Billing API — for subscription and payment management
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
